Scamp-4 provides 2001 Census data at all levels ie wards, the detailed Census Areas etc with mapping and basic statistical analysis tools.
Comparisons with the 1991 Census data from Scamp-2 are possible
Scamp-4 supports detailed comparative topic work over a wide range of Human Geography issues and the most relevant areas to study can quickly be identified.
Users will be supplied with mapping and data for their own region and any other localities they need.
A version of Scamp-4 designed to run on Research Machine's CC3 networks is now available (at the same price). Please specify this version when ordering ie Scamp-3 for RM CC3. It also includes material for RM's Kaleidos for users wishing to organise in that way.
And you can access any Ordnance Survey Landline .ntf data ( and OS raster mapping) you hold with our GIS -Mapshore - included your Scamp-4 software, using it for Land-use Surveys, and adding Census data.
For copyright reasons, users of Scamp-4 - whether acquired direct from Pebbleshore or through one of Pebbleshore's distributors - enter into a contract to appoint Pebbleshore as a supplier of Census data services to your school or college. This in itself creates no further obligation nor does it seek to interfere with any other arrangements you may be party to. The relevant Ordnance Survey documentation is included on Scamp-4. The usual rules relating to OS copyright material apply.

Pebbleshore’s Scamp-3 is still available and gives access to more key data relating England and Wales. For the first time detailed origin and destination ‘desire-line’ commuting and migration data is available (from 1991) with enhanced Mapshore GIS mapping software to map it!. Scamp-3 also enables the user to explore additional data from new Office of National Statistics sources (and enhanced Scamp-2 data) so the user can build up, and map key information on settlements, regions and sub-regions they have defined. Selected data at District/Unitary Authority level from the 2001 Census is included to cover more curriculum topics including the use of statistics.
Given the large amounts of data now available, Scamp-3 itself provides a set of materials on key curriculum topics, enabling the user to explore themes with live software and data. A user code is issued with each Scamp-3 enabling users to order up - free from Pebbleshore - formatted data sets for their selected areas.

Scamp-2
This provides 91 Census data in great detail for all of England and Wales. Mapshore, our GIS, will also be supplied as access software if purchased separately. (All the data can also be accessed by your usual spreadsheet, manipulated, and the results then mapped again.)

Scamp-5 will provide desire line data from the 2001 Census with additional material on curriculum topics.
